AI Use Disclosure

1. Our Position on AI

Tech 1 Services believes that AI tools, when governed responsibly, are legitimate productivity instruments. We also believe that organizations using AI have an obligation to disclose that use clearly — to clients, to the public, and to regulators where applicable. This disclosure is our practice of that principle.

2. How We Use AI in Our Practice

Research and drafting assistance

We use AI large language model (LLM) tools to assist with research synthesis, document drafting, framework summarization, and preliminary analysis. Examples include drafting governance policy templates, summarizing regulatory frameworks, and structuring assessment reports.

What AI does not do in our practice

• AI does not make final advisory recommendations on behalf of Tech 1 Services
• AI does not conduct technical assessments of client environments autonomously
• AI does not review, access, or process confidential client data without explicit client agreement
• AI-assisted drafts are always reviewed, edited, and approved by a qualified human advisor before delivery to clients

Human oversight

All client deliverables — assessments, roadmaps, governance frameworks, reports, and recommendations — are reviewed and signed off by a qualified human advisor before delivery. AI assistance accelerates production; human judgment governs output.

3. AI Tools We Use

We use commercially available AI tools including, but not limited to:

• Anthropic Claude — drafting assistance, research synthesis, document structuring
• Microsoft Copilot — integrated into Microsoft 365 productivity workflows
• Other general-purpose LLM tools — as appropriate for specific tasks

We evaluate AI tools against our own AI governance criteria before use in client-adjacent workflows, including data handling practices, confidentiality posture, and output reliability.

4. Client Data and AI

We do not input confidential client data — including system configurations, network diagrams, personnel records, financial information, or proprietary business information — into third-party AI tools without explicit written agreement from the client. Our default practice is to work with anonymized or synthesized representations when AI assistance is relevant to a client engagement.

Client-specific AI governance terms are addressed in our Master Services Agreement.

5. Website Content

Some content on tech1services.net was drafted with AI assistance and reviewed and approved by Tech 1 Services personnel. AI-assisted content is subject to the same accuracy standards as any other content we publish. We do not use AI to generate fabricated testimonials, false case studies, or misleading capability claims.

6. AI Governance Advisory

AI governance is one of our core advisory service areas. Our approach to our own AI use is consistent with the governance frameworks we recommend to clients: documented use cases, human oversight requirements, data handling boundaries, acceptable-use policies, and regular review. We update this disclosure when our AI use practices change materially.
